The plant is constantly replacing fluorescent lamps (they use GE Tuffkote brand 32W 4100K lamps and electronic ballast) They have different areas and ceiling heights throughout the plant. Many of the fixtures are in areas that require special lift equipment and scaffolding to repair or replace. In addition, shutting down of active production lines is required to complete the work.

The plant facilities manager has reported good light output and has not received any complaints about light output or quality of the color (Kelvin Temperature). Their goal is to install additional LED lighting at the factory, processing area, production area and warehouse/distribution center with 4200K frosted and clear LED lamps and intend to adopt the technology in 32 other plants and 200 distribution centers.
